Shilpa Shetty gave a pre-Holi bash for the Rajasthan Royals Cricket team. Shilpa came at the bash dazzling in a golden dress with her boyfriend Raj Kundra and her sister Shamita Shetty. Shamita looked equally gorgeous in a green dress which she wore for the event.
Indian Premiere League’s second season is all set to start next month and Shilpa Shetty is very thrilled as she with her businessman boyfriend bought about 12% stake in the franchise and is also the face of the team. This is a joint venture of Shetty along with her London-based partner Raj Kundra.
Shilpa Shetty was born in 8 June 1975 is an Indian film actress and model. Since making her debut in the film Baazigar (1993), she has appeared in nearly 50 Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada language films, her first leading role being in the 1994 Aag.In February 2009 Shilpa and her business partner Raj Kundra became part owners of the Indian Premier League franchise cricket team Rajasthan Royals former champions by paying approximately US $15.4 million for a 11.7% stake.Shilpa says, “I was just not prepared. It was an international platform, not some village nautanki. I had to be fully ready. And I just didn’t get time to rehearse. So I regretfully had to say no. But I’d rather not give anything less than my best when I’m representing my country.”
Shilpa Shetty laughed a lot when she was young. She still laughs most of the time. According to Shilpa’s mother (Sunanda), Shilpa was a naughty child and was called a “fightercock” as she mostly fought with her younger sister (Shamita). Her mom also acknowledges that she was a very bubbly and vivacious child and her pet name is “Manya” but her mom calls her “babucha” or “Honeybunch”. Shilpa went to school at St. Anthony’s Girl’s convent in Chembur then she went to Podar College.
