Sneha, began her film career in the 2001 Malayalam film Ingane Oru Nilapakshi in a supporting role, however her major breakthrough came later that year in a Tamil language film, Ennavale opposite Madhavan. Later that year, she starred in the film, Aanandham as well as K. Balachandar’s, Parthale Paravasam. She finished the year with a foray into Telugu cinema, making two appearances in notable films.
A total of 8 films, were released in 2002 including her first major hit in Telugu with Hanuman Junction as well as other hits in Unnai Ninaithu and April Madhathil. Prestigious films with top actors also followed, such as King and Pammal K. Sambandam with Vikram and Kamal Haasan respectively. After a successful previous year, Sneha acted in only two films in 2003. The first being Vaseegara with Vijay, the second being a heroine-oriented double role in Parthiban Kanavu. The film became a commercial hit as well as winning plaudits for Sneha’s portrayal of the double role.
The year 2004 was a mixed year for the actress, with Jana, Bose, Venky and Adhu, a horror film, all failing at the box-office. However, Vasool Raja MBBS opposite Kamal Haasan became a blockbuster, while Autograph was a box-office hit which won critical acclaim. With a cameo in the film ‘Kuselan’ starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, Sneha completed fifty films. Sneha has been part of many Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. The actress was spotted by the director Fazil and that started her career in the year 2001 with the Malayalam film titled ‘Engane Oru Nila Pakshi’ which is directed by Anil Babu. Sneha is a Telugu girl born in Mumbai and brought up in Dubai. Sneha has acted with almost all the actors including Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Vijay, Mammootty, Suriya, Vikram and Ajith. Sneha owns a marriage hall in Panruti (around 150 km south of Chennai) which also happens to be her mom’s hometown. For the Film GOA she gave green signal to the bikini ,she has never done it before.
Sneha the Telugu girl who was born in Mumbai and brought up in Dubai, is one of the very few talented actresses in Kollywood, who has acted opposite to top stars of India like Kamal Haasan, Mammooty and Nagarjuna.
Sneha made her debut with Malayalam film “Engane Oru Nila Pakshi” by director Anil Babu, made her way into audiences hearts with her smashing ‘thousand watt’ smile. In her career spanning seven years, she has acted in movies of all south Indian languages – Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada.
Apart from her smile, she is also known for having rejecting movies as she doesn’t believe in wearing skimpy clothes on screen. She has won the admiration of fans playing homely roles.
The actress has starred opposite Kamal Hassan (“Vasool Raja”), Mammootty (“Thiruppu Gulam”), Ajit (“Jana”), Nagarjuna (“Sree Amdasu”) and Balakrishna (“Pandurangadu”). Her performance in Tamil films “Autograph”, “Parthibhan Kanavu”, and Telugu films like “Radha Gopalam”, “Sree Ramadasu” and Sankranthi have been appreciated by audiences and critics alike.
The young actress is presently acting with Mammootty in the bilingual “Vande Matharam” and with Prasanna in “Achchamundu Achchamundu”.
